Take the 30-Day Challenge, Part 2
Welcome to part 2 of the 30-Day / 30-image challenge, sponsored by uptown pokies.
Sorry that there was a large break between this post and the previous one. My kids are home, and since their school courses were online, they had taken over the computers in the house. But since they are now officially on school break, I can now get back to writing.
In this article, I am going to write a bunch of ideas. You can either use some or all of these ideas or you can share your own in the comments.
As I said in the first article. The articles are intended to inspire our creativity through writing, drawing, painting … or whatever other creative means you want to use. So don’t feel that you have to restrict yourself to just tattoo designs.
Just get creative and enjoy the creativity.
Light at the End of the Tunnel
We are finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel with this whole coronavirus mess.
Next week the 5 minute instant coronavirus test is going to be available for both regular doctor’s offices and hospitals to use. These tests were developed by Abbot Labs.
There is also a cure that is currently going through a 1000 person clinical trial in New York City. The trial had begun on March 30, 2020, and the results should be available in 1 to 2 weeks. Assuming that the results are as good as what individual doctors are seeing, it will then just become getting the production of the needed drugs to match expected patient needs.
The official prescription part of the treatment is a combination of the two drugs hydroxychloroquine (malaria drug) and azithromycin (antibiotic), which has been approved by the FDA for clinical trials and emergency use. But since both of these drugs have already approved by the FDA for others uses, it is legal for doctors to do “off label” treatments. Although this next part is not part of the official FDA recommendation, Dr. Vladimir Zelenko also includes zinc sulfate and vitamin C in the treatment.
“Zinc is a virus killer, but the replication of the virus prevents it from getting into the cell.”
“Hydroxychloroquine opens the door and lets the zinc in,” he explained. “The zinc goes inside the cell and wreaks havoc on the virus.”
Finally, Vitamin C is the standard vitamin that doctors always recommend when a person gets any type of cold or flu or other viruses.
My own comments: when I mentioned to my husband about the zinc, my husband’s response was, “when I was a kid, my dad was always talking about the healing properties of zinc” Most people have no idea who my father in law is. He was professional chemist and very knowledgable about biochemistry, specifically vitamins and minerals and natural healing properties of these at the biochemical level. Do you remember crazy foam or the toilet tablet cleaning drop-ins? He was the guy who invented those two products.
I do not know why the FDA is not including zinc and vitamin C in the treatment recommendations. Dr. Zelenko is seeing patients when they are first experiencing the shortness of breath, getting better 4 to 12 hours after the treatment with zinc. From what I have been reading, without zinc, it is taking 5 days of treatment, but it might be a difference between “feeling better” and being declared 100% cured.
Generation Crown
Once people start seeing the light at the end of the tunnel in their own local communities, they are going to start celebrations. First, the celebrations will start in the home, and then move to the outside world. The end result will be a baby boom in around 8 to 10 months. Since the coronavirus looks like little crown when one looks at it under a microscope, I have personally named this generation “Generation Crown”.
In Memory Of
Unfortunately, many people will have lost loved ones before this is over. At the current time, 54,198 people have died from the Coronavirus in only 3 months (6,095 in the US). Trump is predicting that the number may be 100,000 – 250,000 people dead, in the US alone, by the time this is over. But I am hoping that is just scare technique to still get people to stay inside until the drug production is at a level to meet patient needs.
The Best in People and the Worst in People
As with any “natural disaster”, it brings out the best in people and the worst in people.
Cooperation
Although our social nature of human beings has had to change during this crisis, people are still cooperating and working together.
Small Miracles
“Small Miracles” is the name of a book series. The idea of the book was a bunch of short stories about coincidences that seemed to be more than just coincidences. I have personally seen examples of this through this whole crisis.
Superheroes
Superheroes come in all shapes and sizes. I remember a song that had the lyrics “heroes just are people that we call another name”.
America of tomorrow
More of song lyrics:
“And the old shall dream dreams.
And the youth shall see visions.
And our hopes shall rise up to the sky.
We must live for today.
We must build for tomorrow.
Give us time. Give us strength. Give us life.”
Learn from the past to build for the future
As the saying goes, “Those who don’t learn from the past are condemned to repeat it”, but if you only living in the past, you can’t build for the future.
Working on the train gang
I do not know about other areas, but in the area where I live, the intercity trains are shut down. So the government is taking advantage of this to continue having construction workers to work on the train lines in order to get the new trains lines up and running faster.
Salute to infostructure workers
Part of President Trump’s economic recovery plan is to focus on infostructure jobs (or shovel ready jobs, as they are sometimes called). The infostructure in the US is in desperate need of maintenance. So the government improves the infostructure and provides jobs for people. This is the same philosophy that President Roosevelt used to help America get out of the Great Depression.
Salute to our front line medical workers
Doctors, nurses, elderly care workers, paramedics … those are the people who are truly working on the front lines of this disaster. In some locations, they are working overtime and putting their and their family’s lives at risk.
Salute to our soldiers
Almost 1 million soldiers were called up for active duty to help with the fight against the coronavirus. Some were reservists and some were retired soldiers.
Hospitals of all kinds
Hospitals are being built all over the place. One Navy hospital ship is off the coast of NYC, and a second Navy hospital ship is off the coast of California. Convention centers are being converted to temporary hospitals. Hotels and even tents in Central Park are even being converted to temporary hospitals.
As Trump has reported, the Army Corp of Engineers is building hospitals in 3 days. Even Trump, who a builder before he was President, is amazed at what these soldiers have accomplished.
Finally, Party like it is 1999
For anybody who has a business that is “social” in nature, determine now what your regular weekly income is, and then triple it. That is what your income is going to be during the first couple of weeks after this worldwide quarantine is over. Even self-declared introverts are going to be itching to get out.
In other words, tattoo creative people, check your inventory and stock up now. If you wait two weeks, when this quarantine starts to get lifted (in low population areas first and possibly home businesses, the cities a week or two later), the supplies will have run out.
And start planning your “Reopening Marketing Plan”, so your customers will know that you are open and ready for business … and if you have been following our challenge … a whole new, completely unique, creative ideas book.
